Founded in 1971 by Joanne Winter, LPGA, the Joanne Winter Arizona Silver Belle Championship was to encourage competition in golf for young women amateur golfers. Today, it is nationally recognized by the World Amateur Golf, Golfweek, Junior Golf Scoreboard and AJGA/Polo national ranking systems. In addition, this tournament qualifies for AJGA Performance Based Entry.
Entrants must be at least 13 and younger than 24 years old as of December 30.
Applications are closed at this time. Applications will reopen mid August 2017. All entries must be submitted online. No applications accepted by phone, fax or mail.
Selection of Competitors
Field limited to 96 players. In the case of more applicants than available space, the Board of Directors will base selections upon application information and national ranking. Confirmation of your status will be emailed within two weeks of the closing date.
Entry Fee and Refunds
After selections are made, a separate email will be sent containing an invoice via PayPal for the entry fee. This includes green fees for the practice round, tournament green fees, use of the practice facility before and after each tournament round and a small welcome gift. NO refunds will be made unless a replacement is found. A $25.00 service fee will be deducted from all refunds. All refunds will be issued after the tournament is over.
Medical Release Form
Your entry assumes agreement with our Medical Release form.
A list of hotels and other accommodations in the Scottsdale area will be provided to the players upon receipt of their entry fee.
The Champion will be determined from the entire field. In the event of a tie for the title of Champion, the winner will be determined by a hole by hole playoff. All other ties will be determined according to USGA guidelines. Awards will also be presented within each age division (13-14, 15-16, 17-18 and 19-23). If a player is not present at the awards ceremony, she may be responsible to pay for shipment of her trophy. The Day 1 over-the-field medalist will also be awarded.
Contestants are expected to adhere to our Player Code of Conduct.
Player Code of Conduct
NO CADDIES WILL BE PERMITTED. Golfers must walk. Pull carts may be used but must be provided by the individual golfer. The course has none available for rent.
Caddies / Transportation
Player information will only be provided on-site.
Spectators MUST follow in the rough and shall not distract players. Only spectators with valid ADA credentials will be allowed to rent a motorized cart from the course during play.
